Regarding the acceptance of Islam by Hazrat Syedna Ali Al-Murtaza, it is narrated that Hazrat Ali Al-Murtaza (R.A.) was brought up under the shadow of the Holy Prophet (SAW). Therefore, when he saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Umm al-Mu'minin Hazrat Sayyida Khadija (may Allah be pleased with him) engaged in worship.

So the Holy Prophet asked the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) what he was doing. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “We are worshiping the only God. Hadhrat Syedna Ali Al-Murtaza (RA) inquired. What kind of worship is this?

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “This is the religion of Allah and Allah has chosen me to preach His religion and guide the people. And I invite you to believe in this Allah Wahida La Shareek. Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali Al-Murtaza (RA) was surprised when he heard the words of the Prophet (PBUH) and asked, "I have never heard anything about this religion before."


It seems difficult to decide. So I want to consult my father about this. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: O Ali! You have that right. But don't mention this to anyone else right now.

Hazrat Syedna Ali Al-Murtaza (RA) promised the Prophet (PBUH) that he would not mention this to anyone. So that night, when Hazrat Sayyiduna Ali Al-Murtaza (RA) lay down to sleep, he fell asleep thinking about this.


Allah Ta'ala gave light to the heart of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and he, may Allah be pleased with him, without consulting his father, attended the service of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, the next day and asked him: Enter me into the circle of Islam. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught him the word Tawheed and accepted him into the circle of Islam.
